Alteryx Cannot Preserve Formatting on Overwrite for some reason

Hi all,

I’m experiencing an issue with Alteryx where it suddenly cannot output to an existing sheet or range when the "Overwrite Sheet" option is selected, with "Preserve Formatting on Overwrite" checked. It only seems to be generating a raw Excel file. The strangest thing is that it shows a certain number of records were written to the specified path, but no output and date modified date didn't change.

I do see .tmp pop up for a sec and disappear, it didn't create .bak and replace the existing excel file.

I think it's a bug don't know how to fix it, I tried reboot, create new workflow, and output to different location.

Pls let me know how to fix it...

Does your Path include the cell range to overwrite?

Did you get this resolved?  In the past, when I think this has happened to me there was an error in the formula that I was creating for the folder path.  I would suggest paying extra attention to that.

Can you double-check the cell ranges for the output? It may be the reason wrong cell range in your file path. If this helps, feel free to like the comment
