Alternate to Folder Browse Interface tool

Hi All,

I am looking fro an alternate to the folder browse tool, as this tool cannot be used in an app published on the server.

I can use the text box tool, but the entire path has to be pasted there. Looking for an alternative.

Hi @N783970 , I've had this issue in the past as well, and have used the File Browse tool instead. You can allow the user to choose a file within the folder they want to choose, and then use the Action tool to only take the file directory. You can do this by choosing "Update Value with Formula" and using the formula ' filegetdir([#1]) '. This takes the directory of the chosen file, i.e. the folder it is in.
