Align Table with different number of columns

Hi community!

I am using the reporting tools to produce a report in Microsoft Word from Alteryx.

I need to be able to produce a table which looks like the below. I have no issues with colour formatting etc.

The issue I'm having is lining up the fact that row 1 has a different number of columns to row 2. In order to create this I created two tables and used the layout tool to bring them together. I'm not sure this is the best way.

However, when outputting to Microsoft Word, I the alignment of columns goes wrong, it doesn't look as bad in PDF. Can anyone help?

I've attached the workflow.

Good morning,

I have attempted to review the issue.  I am not showing the large discrepancy between the two rows as you showed in your example.  When I pull this up in Word there is a slight difference between the upper and lower columns.  I adjusted them slightly by adjusting the fixed width of the upper column to be one inch and the fixed width of the lower column to be 0.98 inch.  This adjustment gives me the below result:

HI @PeterAP

I have the same results as @Kilbyflow_Designer . Word document looks good.

Perhaps it is due to MS Word version or Alteryx Designer version, which one are you using? I have 2024.1
