Add/ Delete Columns

Hi all, 

If I want the output to be an excel sheet, is there an option where I can restrict others from adding or deleting columns from that excel sheet (the output)? I used to do it on excel, but I don't know if there is a way to do it on alteryx.

Hi @AHM 

That's really an Excel specific feature, not one you can enable with the output data tool. 

That said, there was a discussion last year on the same topic: https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Alteryx-Designer-Discussions/Locking-certain-cells-of-Excel-output-...

Looks like you could execute code, and then use the Run Command tool to run the VBA to lock the columns you need to lock.

I haven't tried it, so I can't speak to whether it will work or not.
