I have been working with the ARIMA tool to develop a forecast for one of my stores....and seems to work well for this one store. BUT what if I have multiple stores? Do I have to create an individual workflow for every store or is there a more singular workflow way to run this same analysis but on many stores? Is there a different tool for this? Thanks!
So you cannot use the ARIMA tool in isolation to run for multiple stores, the reason is that you are effectively spitting out a model per store as opposed to a single model. There are two main ways to create/run ARIMAs for multiple stores:
1) Using a Batch Macro with the ARIMA tools inside
2) Using the TS Factory Tools
This article goes into the differences of the two, explains how to implement each and provides download links for the TS Factory Tools: https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Alteryx-Designer-Knowledge-Base/Time-Series-Factory-Tools-vs-Batch-...
Thank you. I looked and found the TS Factory time series tools. I can get them into a workflow. But how do I get those 2 new tools to show up in the Tool Palette for the Time Series?
I set ETS tool to (m,n,a) or (m,n,m), the difference between ETS tool and Factory tool is more than 10%. Can anyone please advise?
why does it have such a big difference?
Please refer to the link above which has the workflow and data. Thanks.
