AMP Engine Not Returning Expected Result for Summary Tool

This may be redundant but I was unable to find a prior topic for this. I recently upgraded my Alteryx and attempted running a workflow that I frequently run to validate data. However, when running with the AMP engine and attempting to generate a MIN and MAX for dates listed in the file it returns NULL every time. I ran a prior file which worked properly before I upgraded to use the AMP engine and it now returns NULL when attempting to see the date range. The totals are also way off when I use the Summarize tool. Any thoughts on why this may be? The workflow is a very basic workflow which should return a MIN/MAX date and a summary of totals for different fields. Nothing heavy or complicated so I can't figure out why this is happening.

@latscott  could I please ask you to update the title on your post so that it is more clear that it is about MIN/MAX of Date Range? So that it does not turn into a general post about all differences with AMP? If a defect needs to get linked to it, that would be confusing. 

I also would like to ask what version you are on, are you on the most recent 2022.1 Version where AMP is the default for new workflows or an older version? 

If I read correctly you were changing the setting on an existing workflow that was built with the original Engine to run with AMP, rather than building with AMP from the start. 

I'm trying to get more information before we look into it.

Hi @TonyaS I titled this as such because the issue does appear to be related to the AMP engine in my opinion. Everything works as expected when I run it without using the AMP engine. I am also using the most recent version. And that is correct, I usually just open my existing workflow that I usually run from month to month and this time it asked me if I wanted to run on the AMP engine so I clicked yes and that's when I noticed the discrepancy.

The top summary tool is the one I use to return the MIN/MAX posting date.

The bottom summary tool is the one I use to compute total line count and total dollar amounts.

Thank you for updating the name and confirming that you are on the latest version. That will help us look into it. 

Would you also be able to screen shot the configuration of each Summary tool?

I did see the differences we list with the AMP Summarize tool, they are on this page: https://help.alteryx.com/20221/designer/tool-use-amp
You might try checking the "Engine Compatibility Mode" located under the "Use AMP Engine" checkbox in the Workflow - Configuration - Runtime tab to see if that gives you the expected results.

Thank you for looking into this! Here are the screenshots. I also tried changing the Posting date to date format to see if that fixed the issue but that had no impact.

I tried running with the "Engine Compatibility Mode" but I am still seeing issues. It looks like the data is bring changed after going through the Unique tool for the totals or the Summary tool for the date. Attached is a screenshot of the output I see for the date. The date format is DD-MONTH-YY
