So i downloaded 2019.1 Non-Admin and have been running into issues with the Kernel being dead with the new Python tool:
I can't even seem to get a print("hello world") statement to run without the kernel dieing...Has anybody else run into this?
Solved! Go to Solution.
In case anyone is experiencing a similar issue, I determined that my Alteryx 2019.1 was having an issue with the version of numpy that was installed. It installed numpy 1.16.0 (which was causing the kernel crash), but when I installed numpy 1.15.0 in its place everything seems to be working fine now.
Hi,
having the same issue here with the 2019 version! The kernel it's not instantiated. How/where did you do the numpy version install? Using the install packages in the console directly doesn't work.
Could only sort this by installing the latest 2018 version, 2018.4.555178, but in future this will need an update. I'm using the admin versions.
Regards,
Hi @jcardoso,
It seems that this issue typically occurs when an alternate Python version is installed on the machine and there is a conflict.
Thanks.
