Hi community!
I have a curious question about when to use which Designer Cloud. There's a Designer Cloud Designer Experience and a Designer Cloud Trifacta Classic. I'm more familiar with Designer Desktop so I prefer that experience.
When should I use what version?
Hi friend,
A useful situation for a plan orchestration:
May involve all the common data prep transformations being applied to a collective dataset first with a DCDE workflow
And downstream, they can set up parameters with DCTC for specific transformations like reporting dashboards but for different departments or accounts
Leveraging the Parameter input capabilities of DCTC as a filter pulls in a specified folder or specified files from a location where the outputs of an upstream DCDE workflow get published
Hope that's helpful!
Hello @specialistintraining
If you're more familiar with Alteryx Designer, I think you should go with the Designer Cloud Experience which is far closer to what you know. There are huge differences of course but I also assume Alteryx will reduce the gap between Alteryx Designer and Alteryx Designer Cloud... I doubt they will improve Trifacta Classic.
By the way, don't forget to have a look at https://community.alteryx.com/t5/AACP-Product-Ideas/idb-p/designer-cloud-ideas
