Hi all,
I know that students can get a 1 year license to Alteryx Desktop. I have several students that have Macs. Can they get access to designer cloud instead? I wasn't sure if that was part of the student / professor package.
I am aware that cloud has reduced widgets, but I believe it has all of the functionality I would be using in my class.
Thanks!
You’d have to ask the SparkED team! I don’t think so though because you’d have to have a whole cloud instance to host Designer Cloud
They can get a VM or Parallels to run Windows on Mac and therefore be able to have Designer
Hi,
Were you able to find out how to obtain a workspace or an educator license for Alteryx Cloud? I’m facing a similar challenge with my course. Most of my students use Macs and aren’t tech-savvy enough to work with Parallels, so the cloud version would be ideal for integrating Alteryx into the curriculum.
Any insight you can share would be greatly appreciated.
@dcikurel Ask the SparkED team. Unless you are ready to host a whole cloud instance, running a VM is a faster option. Plus you’ll get differences in tools available in Desktop versus Cloud - it’s not one to one.
Hi @Anweinbe,
As an educator you can request a Cloud Workspace to use for your courses. You can find more information within the Educator Space. This Sparked Licensing Resource has more information about our licensing options and how to request your Cloud Workspace.
