I fairly new to this but was sure I made the same connection last week with no issue. I am not sure what I am doing wrong. I am trying to create a connection to a dataset in a SharePoint site. To do this:
1. Select Connect to Data
2. Navigate to my dataset in the SharePoint files connections (to note, sometimes I cannot find the site on the SharePoint list to make the connection which is odd in of itself)
3. Select Next
4. If the data is small I can get it to pull up but I need to connect to datasets that are millions of lines it will give me this error. I have tried just walking away for awhile to do its thing, but it still won't load.
To note, I have no power over the format. It has to be excel. I cannot just connect to the original source's database. Because of the nature of the transactions it also has to be a huge amount of data. My end goal for this is to not have to connect to the data each time the flow is needed to be run let it be run on a schedule.
Hi @kathleenvance,
Thanks for reaching out to us. Please note that while importing a huge amount of data, you may receive errors in the SP tool connections. You may need to split the data into multiple files(which I'm not sure you can do because you mentioned access restrictions in your post).
Please check out the link below for more information:
Also, big workbooks like yours often time out or show an error here, even though a job can run successfully. Try finishing the dialog by clicking next, picking the sheet/range, and clicking create. Then try to run the flow. I don’t think it's a good idea to rely on the live preview for huge files.
Really hope this works for you. Also, if possible, try to enjoy your weekend before you jump back into this. 🙂
Take care.
