Hello all! I am new to this platform and am trying to get Designer Cloud certified.
I got my independent license and got my license key and verified everything.
When I downloaded both the Non-Admin and Admin versions, I run as an administrator, the UAC prompt comes up and when I click "OK" the installer never goes and nothing happens.
Here are all the steps I have tried. Any help is greatly appreciated:
- Running as Administrator
- Action: Right-click on the installer and select Run as Administrator to ensure the installer has the necessary permissions to modify system settings.
- Result: No change.
- Checking Digital Signatures
- Action: Opened the Properties window for the installer, went to the Digital Signatures tab, and checked for any issues with the signature.
- Result: The installer’s digital signature was valid, so this wasn’t the source of the problem.
- Adjusting User Account Control (UAC) Settings
- Action: Lowered UAC settings to Never notify to ensure it wasn't blocking the installation process.
- Result: No change.
- Temporarily Disabling Antivirus Software
- Action: Disabled antivirus software, as it might be blocking the installer from running.
- Result: No change.
- Renaming and Correcting the File Type
- Action: Ensured the installer was an .exe file and not mistakenly a .zip or compressed file.
- Result: The installer was valid, but no installation occurred.
- Redownloading the Installer
- Action: Recommended re-downloading the installer to ensure it wasn’t corrupted or incomplete.
- Result: No change (installer still didn’t run).
- Running the Installer in Compatibility Mode
- Action: Tried running the installer in Compatibility Mode for Windows 10 (or Windows 7) to address potential compatibility issues with Windows 11.
- Result: No change.
- Restarting the Windows Installer Service
- Action: Checked and restarted the Windows Installer service from Services.msc to ensure it was running properly.
- Result: No change.
- Running the Installer via Command Line
- Action: Attempted to run the installer through the Command Prompt (with administrator privileges) to check for any error messages that might provide more insight.
- Result: No change.
