How to manually load Alteryx workflow and data to Connect

I am working on a demo to show how Alteryx Connect work for my company. I am new to this and I am struggle on how to manually load Alteryx workflows and data from my local desk to Connect. I tried with the blue + button but it only lets me name the workflow/file, and manually type in information. I don't see any option to upload workflows or files. Once assets are created, they only have info I typed in. I need guidance on this.
