I have a new Connect server and trying to allow users to sign up themselves. Unfortunately, Im getting the error "Sign-up is not well configured':

 

15:10:25.894 [http-nio-80-exec-4] ERROR c.s.xf3.presentation.MainController - Failed to sign-up phase 1 for mail paul.houghton@theinformationlab.co.uk

cz.semanta.xf3.XformsException: Sign-up is not well configured

It seems like there is a error in the sign-up forms as the domain is included in the allowed domains address:

What am I missing??

maybe @SophiaF or @DavidM might have some ideas?

I have experienced the same issues on 2018.4 before and believe this is a defect.

@VojtechT do you have this reported yet?

Thanks @DavidM if this is a defect is there any way around it at this time? or just manually sign up people until it is fixed?

Hey,

I would suggest either using SAML or WinAuth, or define users manually.

Hi Paul,

 

I have tried to sign up your email address on one of our dev servers and everything worked ok, or ate least I haven't got any error. 

My initial idea was that we were handling the domain verification in a bad way and cannot accept ".co.uk" but apparently that is not the issue. 

To solve this issue I need to reproduce it first, but with no luck. Does sharing work correctly? The issue might be with the SMTL server, so let's confirm that your Connect can send email with no problem.

Hi @VojtechT 

 

I tried adding a new user manually from my server and that worked fine for me. but I'm still not able to use the sign-up option.

 

I did correctly receive emails tho. Any other ideas? This is a new server so there shouldn't be any existing setup errors. Happy to jump on a screen share to see what is happening if that makes it easier.

Do you mean receiving other email, like e.g. share or notification, but not the email you should receive in order to sign-up? 

Screen share would be best start. Could you send me your time options on Tuesday to vtalasek@alteryx.com, please?
