Connect + Designer Cloud Loader

Hey All, 

Is there a way to bring in metadata to Alteryx Connect from Designer Cloud?  I don't believe the Alteryx Gallery Loader would apply here, so wondering what would be the path to bring in workflows from Designer Cloud.

Hi there,

There is no direct way to bring in metadata from Designer Cloud to Alteryx Connect. However, you can use the Alteryx Gallery Loader to export the metadata from Designer Cloud as an Excel file, and then import that file into Alteryx Connect.

Here are the steps on how to do this:

1. In Designer Cloud, open the workflow that you want to export the metadata for.
2. Click on the Share button and then select Export Metadata.
3. Save the Excel file to your computer.
4. Open Alteryx Connect and click on the Metadata tab.
5. Click on the Import button and select the Excel file that you exported from Designer Cloud.
6. Click on the Import button.

The metadata from the Excel file will be imported into Alteryx Connect.
