The Alteryx Pin Contest (“Contest”) provides an opportunity for eligible participants to submit a pin design and be considered to win a Prize (as defined below), as further described in these Contest terms and conditions (“Contest Terms”). The Contest is sponsored by Alteryx, Inc. with offices at 3347 Michelson Drive, Suite 400, Irvine, California 92612, United States of America (“Alteryx”) and is hosted on Alteryx’s user community website known as Alteryx Community. By participating in this Contest, you agree to these Contest Terms. You also agree to accept the decisions of Alteryx as final and binding with regards to the Contest. Participation in this Contest is completely voluntary and if you do not agree to these Contest Terms in their entirety, do not participate in the Contest.
CONTEST DATES: The Contest will be open for Design (as defined below) submissions starting on February 18, 2025 at approximately 9:00a.m. Eastern time and closes for Designs on March 9, 2025, at 11:59p.m. Eastern time (“Submission Period”). Contest voting will be open starting on March 10, 2025 at approximately 9:00a.m. Eastern time and closes on March 14, 2025 at 11:59p.m. Eastern time (“Voting Period”). The Winning Design and Winner (as defined below) will be announced on or around March 24, 2025.
ELIGIBILITY: The Contest is open and offered only to individuals who are at least eighteen (18) years old and are registered users of the Alteryx Community (“Participants”). Participants must also satisfy all other Contest Terms. The Contest is not open to: (1) any employees or independent contractors of Alteryx (or its affiliates); (2) any employee or partner of Deloitte & Touche LLP, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu Limited, Ernst & Young Global Limited, Ernst & Young LLP, Grant Thornton LLP, Grant Thornton Advisors LLC or any of their respective member firms or related entities; (3) any employees of government agencies and government-affiliated companies or organizations; or (4) any individual who is prohibited by applicable law from participating in this Contest or receiving a prize from Alteryx.
HOW TO ENTER: To enter the Contest, a Participant must submit a digital design for a physical pin before the Submission Period ends, in accordance with the criteria below (the “Design”). Limit of 1 entry per eligible Participant.
- The Design must be created digitally in vector format (.svg)
- The Design must not include more than three (3) words
- The Design must use solid colors only, with no gradient shading
- The Design must not use more than eight (8) colors
- The Design should keep fine details to a minimum
- The Design must be “original”, as defined by copyright law, and created only by the Participant. The Design must not contain or be submitted with any content that is created, owned, or controlled by someone other than the Participant. The Design must not have previously been used by Participant for another purpose (such as entering another contest).
- The Design must not contain or be submitted with any content that is offensive, obscene, harmful, threatening, lewd, illegal, defamatory, or otherwise objectionable or that violates a third-party’s rights, including proprietary, publicity, or privacy rights.
- The Design must be submitted on the Alteryx Pin Contest board at https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Alteryx-Pin-Contest/con-p/inpsire-pin-contest and clicking, “Enter the contest”. No other methods will be considered.
Any Design that, in Alteryx’s sole discretion, does not meet all of the above criteria will be removed and disqualified. Multiple entries from the same person or Alteryx Community account will also be removed and disqualified. Use of duplicate accounts, automatic or similar methods to submit an entry are prohibited.
GRANT OF RIGHTS: By submitting your Design and in consideration for participation in this Contest, you grant Alteryx the exclusive, irrevocable and worldwide right to use, reproduce, modify, display, distribute, perform, publish, transmit, and create derivative works of your Design, or any portion thereof, in any media now known or hereafter developed, and for any purpose or any reason, including to display or promote the Design at Alteryx Inspire (Alteryx’s annual user conference) and in marketing, advertising, and promotions of Alteryx or its products, without any compensation, notice, review, or consent, and whether or not the Design is selected to win. Alteryx will retain the rights granted in each Design even if the Design is not selected as a winner or is disqualified.
WINNER SELECTION: One (1) Design (“Winning Design”) and the submitting Participant of such Design will be selected as the winner (“Winner”). The Winning Design will be selected based on a majority vote by users of the Alteryx Community, subject to a review by Alteryx to confirm the Design and Participant meet the required criteria.
Once the Voting Period opens, all qualifying Designs will be available for voting on the Alteryx Community. During the Voting Period, users of the Alteryx Community will be able to evaluate the Designs and cast their vote on a Design to win the Contest. Only one vote per Alteryx Community user will be counted (in the case of multiple votes from a user, only the first vote will be counted) and votes from duplicate accounts will be excluded. Following the close of the Voting Period, Alteryx will review and tally all eligible votes to determine the Winning Design.
PRIZE: The Winning Design will be produced by Alteryx into a physical pin (“Pin”) and featured at Alteryx Inspire. The Winner will receive their own Pin and a collection of Alteryx-branded swag valued at up to $500.00 (example items in the collection may include clothing, bags, water bottles, and accessories) (the “Prize”). Shipping times may vary; however, we anticipate approximately up to four (4) weeks for Prize delivery. The Prize is subject to availability and Alteryx reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal value. No cash alternative is or will be available. The Prize cannot be transferred or assigned to another person.
NOTIFICATION: The Prize Winner will be notified at the email address associated with the Alteryx Community account on or around March 20, 2025 and will be required to complete a third-party supplier fulfillment form to receive a Prize. The Winner will also be asked to submit their name and photo for use to announce and promote the Winning Design but may opt out of doing so. Prize award is subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with these Contest Terms. Any potential winner who Alteryx is unable to contact by the noted time above will not be eligible to win, and Alteryx may decide to select a different Design as the winner and award the Prize to the submitting Participant.
MISCELLANEOUS: Void where prohibited. The Contest shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the State of California, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law, except to the extent that any rule or provision would conflict with any federal, state and local laws and regulations in which case such laws/regulations would apply. Personal data will be processed in accordance with Alteryx’s Privacy Policy which is located at https://www.alteryx.com/privacy-policy, and applicable third-party terms and privacy policies for the purpose of Prize fulfillment. Subject to applicable law, Alteryx reserves the right to withdraw, vary, suspend, or terminate this Contest (including amending these Contest Terms) at any time, without notice and without any liability to you. You are solely responsible for complying with all applicable policies, regulations, rules or laws that may restrict or prohibit your participation in this Contest, including any policies or guidelines prescribed by your employer. This Contest is not sponsored or endorsed by, or associated with, any third-party.
