Hi Alteryx,

I hope you are having an altering day!

Alteryx has a very community of very committed individuals contributing from sharing ideas, suggestions, presenting use-cases, to solving weekly challenges. It'd be really great for all the community members to be able to share their community interaction on social media.

For example: If I earn a new badge, a small window could pop-up saying, "Share your achievement!" with all possible icons of social media in that window. On clicking a particular icon, say twitter or Linkedin, it will redirect to that website with a tweet or post complied with a template message to be posted.

It can be done for: Sharing a post about badges earned, solutions accepted, online tutorials completed etc.

It would be a great marketing strategy for Alteryx as it would outsource broadcasting about Alteryx amongst people, and others might be interested and take notice of it.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

Thanks,

Rohan Waghere

It would be useful to be able to copy and paste images directly into the discussion forums. In heavily locked down IT environments, such as at my current client site, it's not possible to use the insert/edit image button. The only way I can load an image to a discussion is to copy into a word doc and attach it.

The Tableau forums allow a simple copy/paste of an image into their forums, implementing that same functionality into the Alteryx forum would be a big help. Even for users who are able to load images it would save them time, instead of having to save an image then upload, ctrl-c ctrl-v is much quicker.

I'd love to see the ability to create a private community that would serve as a subset to community.alteryx.com.  Many of us work for large corporations and are unaware of other users within the organization.  We are left to our own devices to attempt to connect and share.  With private communities we could

  • enable better networking (who's going to conference?)
  • automatically suggest membership to the private community based on email domain or license
  • encourage better participation through gamification/badging (competing against peers vs Alteryx consultants and wise aces)
  • share knowledge
  • identify who the best participants were within our organization (as a way to identify talent)
  • reveal opportunity gaps and leverage positive peer pressure (if Joe's department is now certified why isn't mine?)

I suggest adding a possibility for users to link their social media profiles within the Alteryx profile. I think this would allow for users to connect in case for instance of an interesting industry discussion within the community and would also allow for further promotion, as our social media networks could then be extended to new people - Alteryx users.

I am aware that a similar idea has been posted already, however as I understand it has been disregarded as it suggested adding multiple information regarding the user and the possible surfeit of information caused by it. I only suggest adding the LinkedIN profile, as I truly believe it would benefit the users to connect also on other platforms. This could also result in further Alteryx promotion within certain industries.

While taking the certification exam, as well as when doing quizzes after tutorials, I have noticed that I cannot see that the radio button is selected.
I am color blind, so I am not sure if this is due to the color used or if the button indicator isn't dark enough.

If someone could please address this, it would help out a lot!

Thank you,

Jason R.S.
