Markdown support in the Dev Space

While this is probably a stretch, I think many of the developers would love to see the option to use Markdown when authoring their posts and/or blogs.

Agreed. I would also love to get language-specific syntax highlighting for code snippets, something we're working on but don't have a timeline yet.

Is this still something that we need as a Community Idea?  We currently have both the "Preformatted" option in the Paragraph menu, as well as the option to "Insert/Edit Code Sample" as another menu selection.  Do these items cover what is necessary, or would some further iteration or enhancement be needed?
