We are excited to roll out new features and updates in 22.1. You are invited to Alteryx Public Preview 22.1! We welcome you to explore and test the upcoming release and provide feedback to the team. Below you will find instructions on how to sign up and test Public Preview 22.1 as well as a list of the features you can expect to see and test in Public Preview 22.1.
How to get started with Alteryx Public Preview 22.1
- Block out time on your calendar - This iteration of Alteryx Public Preview Program closes on April 24th.
- Sign In/Up using this link
- Download - Choose either the Designer Admin or Non-Admin Build (Which installer should you use? Find out here )
- Install - Use provided license keys to activate the beta license for Designer. NOTE: These license keys will expire at the close of the Public Preview program on April 24th.
- Test - Use Public Preview in your production environment. Test daily tasks and use your most popular workflows and data connections. Use Public Preview to replicate your most usual 'day in the life' to ensure that all functionality works as expected.

AMP Engine
- The default Engine for any NEW workflows from version 2022.1 on.
Designer & Server UI/UX
- UI was restyled to a more modern design. Updates have been made to Fonts, Sizing/Spacing, Colors, Tool Palette Design and Global
Data Connector Enhancements
- Enhancements to DCM.E and Greenplum, Databricks and Snowflake Data Connectors
Auto Insights Uploader Tool
- Now a default tool in Alteryx Designer. You can access Auto Insights Uploader via the In/Out and Favorites tool categories.
Barcode Tool
- The Barcode tool extracts information stored in Bar/QR codes. The Barcode tool can also generate Bar/QR codes.
Part-of-Speech Tagging Tool
- The Part-of-Speech Tagger in the Text Mining tools group allows you to determine a given word's part of speech.
Key Value Pair Tool
- The KVP feature allows for linking of two data elements: a key, which is a defines the data set, and its value, which belongs to
OCR Optimization - Image Processing Tool
- OCR Optimization is a step to pre-process your image (PDFs are images too) for OCR.
