Improved Landing Page Buttons

We've used data, best practices, and survey guidance to improve the structure (read more below) and the quick links (buttons) on the community landing page.

This is phase 1 of a list of improvements (more on that in a minute), which will allow you to quickly get to Academy (fresh new to the Overview page coming soon!), have conversations in discussion boards, browse our knowledge base, read up on all our latest blogs (including our digital blog - Input), and finally listen our beloved Podcast. If you're new to the Alter Everything Podcast, we suggest you take a listen to #46: Grand Prix Champion featuring @LordNeilLord .

Phase 2 of these improvements will include additional personalization based on your needs and your own personal Alteryx journey. More to come soon on that in early 2020, including an opportunity to provide input - "we need input"!

Reorganized Community Structure

As mentioned above, we've organized the community structure mostly by interaction style. This means you can view all of the discussion boards in one place, and all ideas in another place. Our consolidation also allows the navigation to be above the fold to make it even easier to find what you need.

Category Landing Pages

As part of the restructure, we've improved the category landing pages with the following adjustments:

- Mirroring the page layout that you see on Programs (formerly Alter.Nation, see below). The idea is to have consistency across the categories and so you can easily see the areas that live in each category of the community.

- Updated and improved activity feed specific to the category you're in so that you can quickly toggle between Latest Posts, Most Likes, Solved Topics, and Unanswered Topics on a more granular level. We're considering this Beta currently, but hope to roll this out to discussion boards and other areas of the community as we get your feedback and continue to make small improvements to this feature.

Alter.Nation is now Programs

You told us, we fixed it. We heard feedback that Alter.Nation was confusing, so we renamed this category Programs which now houses our ACE Program, the Alter Everything Podcast, Beta Program, Women of Analytics, and Alteryx for Good (stay tuned for more community-based Alteryx For Good"ness" next month!). Very punny, I know.

Adjusted Profile Dropdown

We removed the discussion icon that showed how many discussions you had participated in. While this is a useful feature, it's available on your profile page. Now the notification will reference only actionable items (new notifications and new Private Messages). This change includes making the drop down a bit more narrow as well.

Additional Improvements + Bug Fixes

Localized the Use Case titles

Fixed an issue when using Interactive Lessons and Full Screen mode was "stuck"

Addressed an issue where titles of topics bled into the post date

Our vendor fixed a bug where the Idea Status filter was showing incorrect results

Updated the ACE Nomination survey for 2020

Updated board selector to include additional discussion boards

Removed more text from the mobile experience - working to push more content above the fold

Feedback

Please keep the feedback coming by submitting a community-related idea! If you run into a platform bug, you can also submit a ticket by filling out a community bug report or bookmarking https://tinyurl.com/communitybugs
