February was a busy month for the community team!

Ok seriously - it was! We started off with a team summit in the Broomfield office, hopped over to Vegas for our annual company conference GKO, and some of the team is in Sydney this week for Inspire APAC. In light of all our travel, team-building, and community-planning, this release is a lighter release. We'll be back in full swing next month working on making the community UI (buttons, filters, category landing pages, etc) more cohesive across the platform. In the meantime, check out what we tackled in February!

Portuguese and Spanish Academies!

We're excited to announce that we now have Academy available in Portuguese and Spanish! Major kudos to the @AYXAcademy team for launching their third localized Academy this year!

Rank Update

Based on internal discussions and feedback from the community - we've added a number to the front of the rank to help you better understand where you stand among the various ranks. You can check out more detail in our User Rank FAQ

Analyticon Discussion Board

Our CEO Dean recently announced the renaming of our US customer conference - Analyticon! We've created a new Analyticon discussion board for you to get hyped with your peers. Check out Dean's post for more details if you haven't already.

Podcast Author

As the amazing Alter.Everything Podcast continues to be successful and in order to scale, we've created a new alias of PodWizard. You'll be able to tag the Podcast team, Private Message them, and our beloved @MaddieJ  can have her personal identity back.

Search Improvements (Delivering 2.28.19)

We hope you've been enjoying our new and improved federated search. This release, we're adding a "Contains" facet to the new federated search that allows you to filter by image/video/attachment. We're also rolling out an "Answered facet", which allows you to filter by answered/unanswered. Lastly, we updated and completed a customer-suggested community idea of adding Youtube videos to search.

Miscellaneous Bug Fixes and Updates

  • Fixed issue with certification date being incorrect for some users

  • Resolved CSS issue on completed ideas component

  • Adjusted text keys in localized communities buttons so that they no longer stretch outside of the component

  • Addressed multiple issues of dark text on dark toast banners

  • Fixed issue of "back to top" button covering search options

  • Updated submission guidelines for Product Ideas

  • Changed "New Topic" button to "Introduce Yourself" in the Community Hub

  • Fixed translations in Portuguese emails

Community Tip of the Month

Find yourself answering the same questions over and over? Have a quick list of troubleshooting questions you ask to help solve problems with your peers? If you're not already using them, take a look at using Macros!

Click My Settings and then click the Macros tab.Type a name for the fist macro in the Macro 1 Title box. Make the name short but memorable (you'll choose it by name from a menu later). Type the text you want to be able to paste in the Macro 1 box. Click Save Changes.

Now when you go to reply or ask a question, you can select "Macros" from the rich text editor, select your desired macro, and woila!
