Thank you for helping us raise $21,200 for One Tree Planted (OTP)

The Australian communities are starting to heal. It took a massive deluge of rain to achieve this a few weeks ago, but Australia is finally on the road to recovery.

Thank you for helping Alteryx For Good raise $21,200 for One Tree Planted (OTP)! Our original goal was to raise $5,000 in 5 weeks, but with your enthusiasm and commitment to help Australia, we were able to accomplish $5,000 in just a few weeks (see original blog post here), so we kept the campaign going!

We came together for the local community and your donations will help OTP purchase seedlings for the region, help rebuild homes for the animals and restore communities that were devastated.

While the communities are rebuilding, the true extent of the environmental damage is still being assessed. Some areas will be able to regenerate naturally, which is ideal. However, some areas have been so severely damaged that they will not be able to recover on their own, and replanting will need to take place. This is where OTP seeks to help, once the experts have identified these areas in need. Replanting endangered species and providing habitat and food for critically endangered animals will be a major priority.

We knew this was possible and we thank you for showing compassion to our associates, customers, OTP, and partners in APAC, giving back, and doing good.

Thank you for raising funds to help rebuild Australia!

@Nezrin @ramesh_neel @knlekash thought this would be useful since you all are interested in getting an AFG project started for the Sydney User Group.

@lharder_AFG can I connect the Sydney leaders to you?

For those following the bushfire recovery efforts, be sure to listen to the latest Alter Everything Podcast episode!

I sat down with One Tree Planted and Foundation for National Parks and Wildlife to chat about why data collection is a crucial step that often gets missed after events like the bushfires, and why citizen science is thriving in Australia.

You can also check it out on major podcast players like Apple Podcasts, Spotify, and Overcast. Perfect for your afternoon listening!
