Calculate the distance between two points

Inactive User
Not applicable

Hi,

I would like to calculate the distance between two points.

I have these data:

Point A and B with State, City, Address, Zip.

Also, I use ‘create points’ tool to get the longitude and latitude.

When I try to use ‘Distance’ tool to calculate the distance, I found there is only one input and there are no option to let me to input two different address/points?

Anyone have any ideas? Thank you!

Please can someone tell me how to convert a post code into a spatial object?

you can download lots of variations of shapefiles from the us census website.  Unzip the file(s) and point to the .SHP file using an input tool.  If you need more help, do look at alteryx.com/help

BTW, @dataMack is standing next to me (at inspire) and he agrees......

I have a very similar project.  I have roughly 30 points across the country that symbolize risk as a number (1=low risk, 50=high risk).  What I would like to do is show the amount of risk for each county in the US based on the proximity to that risk.  I have a CSV file with the points and their associated coordinates and I have the US census bureau's county shapefile.  Would doing a spatial match of the two followed by use of the distance tool work for this?  I'm very new to Alteryx, but eager to find a solution.

Thanks,

Nick
