@seven has graciously offered to lead another ADAPT learning session (likely to be held in August). We've got a host, we've got you, all of our ADAPT participants, but one thing we don't have yet is a topic! So we're asking all of you in the program to respond to this thread with some topics that you would find helpful to learn more about in your Alteryx journey.
Respond to this post with an idea (or several) that you would like to attend a live training session about. Think about what you've struggled with, what you want to dive deeper on, or just topics you're highly interested in within the platform. We'll be releasing more details about the event once we have a little more information, but we're excited to hear what's important in your experience to help guide us!
Hello,
I do not come from a data science background, so for me personally, I would love to get some more insight into the logic behind the order in which one decides to employ each tool, especially in a situation where you need to extract a variety of information for different purposes.
I get that data cleansing comes first but when it comes to analysis, do you first study the data before you make decisions and for how long? Is there a process for this or is it different for everyone? I have done almost 20 challenges and I do a lot of revision and it is time consuming.
My biggest challenge is visualizing how the Crosstab tool should be configured to pivot information when you have many columns of data. (All of the explanations I have seen so far use a much less messy, usually 3-column data set.)
I really want to move on to macros, spatial, and more exciting stuff but I want to have a better handle on just assessing and manipulating data before I do so. Thanks!

Hello,
Is the live training similar to the bootcamp you last month? I signed up to all the bootcamp sessions but eventually attended only 4 of them. It wasn't a good learning experience to listen to the engineers. They tended to speak too fast and weren't effective communicators. The consultants, on the other had, had better presentation skills, greater command at expressing themselves. Whoever gives the presentation, I hope you choose someone that has strong presentation skills and shows empathy in making sure the audience understands.
Thank you
Art
Thanks so much for your question and feedback @Westscape . The training will be similar in the fact that it is a webinar training, but it is a standalone session, not a large series of events that will build off of one another. I'm sorry to hear that some of the speakers who volunteered their time were a bit difficult for you to follow, and we'll certainly keep that in mind as we move forward. If there is any content you may have missed out on the first time, all of the videos are now available in the Video Library on the community as well if you'd like to go back. Did you have any specific topics that would be helpful for you in the new training session we're planning?
