Network drive not able to access through Alteryx Gallery - 2021.1

Hi,

I have set up the Alteryx server where i have installed Alteryx version 2021.1.

I have generic account and this generic account i have provided the access rights to all my different network drives.

If i run the workflow through designer on server, It is working fine and it is generated the output on network share drive.

But same workflow if i publish on Alteryx gallery and run from the gallery it gives me cannot access path error.

If i assign the desktop path or server "d:" drive path and run the same workflow from gallery it is generated the output.

Could you please help me to find out the route cause. To know the reason behind the access issue for network drive?

Also note i am using the actual network path/UNC path instead of drive letter but still not accessible through gallery.

Please note i don't configured the "run as" setting. This setting is blank in Alteryx System option. As this is my generic account server and i have provided all network drives access to this account.

Also note i have installed the Alteryx 2021.1 on server machine using Run as Administrator mode.

In the modules, make sure you have the network drive paths as full UNC. So instead of "N:\Folder\Subfolder\file.yxdb", where N = drivename, you'd have "\\servername\drivename\Folder\Subfolder\file.yxdb".

You can do this all at once for many inputs by going to Options, Advanced, Workflow Dependencies and click the "All UNC" button.

I am not used any drive letter for network path. I used actual network drive path/UNC path. But it is not working on Alteryx Gallery.

Oh okay. Not sure then. Have you tried adding your generic account credentials in the Gallery Admin screens ("Credentials")? And what about the Service account? Is that set up for the generic account too?

It works using service account. But i dont want to use service account credential. I want to use my generic account only.

is it compulsory to add generic account credentials in admin screen?

Because generic account details already present in Alteryx System settings. But i kept "Run as" option blank. I don't want to use run as option.

I just wanted to confirm it require to add generic account user name and password in Admin screen?

I'm not sure if it's required (credentials in admin screens), but that's how mine is set up and it works. Maybe try it and see if it works. If it works, but you really don't want it, then you can always delete it and open a support ticket with Alteryx to see if maybe they can help (unless someone else responds to this thread with a definite answer).
