If you can't find anything helpful, try to determine with the logs when the service stopped and check in the Windows Event Viewer for anything weird related to Alteryx.

https://community.alteryx.com/t5/Engine-Works/A-deeper-dive-into-Server-logging/ba-p/22389

Here you can find the places to look for issues in the Event Viewer: https://knowledge.alteryx.com/index/s/article/How-to-Retrieve-System-and-Application-Logs-for-Alteryx

Best,

Fernando

Hello,

We have a Controller and a Worker node. Can anyone explain why the alteryxservice would just stop on its own? I logged in this morning and see a bunch of jobs in the queue and none running. I have an automation that runs on that worker every 2 hours, I checked it and the last time I see it completed was 1/17 at 7:04pm.

I went into the worker and checked Services and saw that the alteryxservice was stopped and I had to start it.

Has anyone run into this issue before? If so, what was the fix?

Hey @BonusCup, you may want to check your RAM usage and the remaining storage space on your installed drive. I have seen Alteryx stop automatically when there is insufficient storage space.

May be so obvious that you haven't mentioned it but did you check that the O/S has not restarted? Windows services are notorious for not starting correctly after a reboot.

Troubleshoot unexpected reboots using system event logs - Windows Server | Microsoft Learn
