alteryxservice stopped running on it's own

Hello,

We have a Controller and a Worker node. Can anyone explain why the alteryxservice would just stop on its own? I logged in this morning and see a bunch of jobs in the queue and none running. I have an automation that runs on that worker every 2 hours, I checked it and the last time I see it completed was 1/17 at 7:04pm.

I went into the worker and checked Services and saw that the alteryxservice was stopped and I had to start it.

Has anyone run into this issue before? If so, what was the fix?

Hi @BonusCup ,

I have been working with Alteryx Server for a long time and have never experienced this.

Your best option is to look for clues in the Service logs. If you can't find anything helpful, try to determine with the logs when the service stopped and check in the Windows Event Viewer for anything weird related to Alteryx.

Hey @BonusCup, you may want to check your RAM usage and the remaining storage space on your installed drive. I have seen Alteryx stop automatically when there is insufficient storage space.

May be so obvious that you haven't mentioned it but did you check that the O/S has not restarted? Windows services are notorious for not starting correctly after a reboot.
