I am looking for help with a use case involving dynamic balance reclassification. I need to move balances between different Entities based on a secondary Adjustment/Input Table.

The challenge is that the column where the movement happens, the source entity and the target entity are all dynamic.

1. Current Data (Base Table)

I have a dataset with multiple balance columns. Here is a sample:

2. The Logic (Adjustment/Input Table)

The user provides a "Control/Input Table" that specifies which column to adjust and which entities are the Source and Target. If a Source is selected, that value should be subtracted from the Source Entity and added to the Target Entity for that specific column. Where Target entity is not specified, that will make Source zero and no balance transfer will happen.

3. Expected Output

Based on the logic above, the Australian Recon Balance would increase from 600 to 700 (taking 100 from Netherlands), and so on.

I got a new laptop at work and am having an issue getting the regular Input and Dynamic Input tool to connect to MS SQL Server.
What's funny, is that the IDB Connect In-DB tool connects just fine.  

Why would it connect fine with IDB tools and not Input or Dynamic Input?

This is the message I'm getting:

I have a problem with my Fuzzy Match Tool. I'm matching vendor names from one dataset (checking potential duplicates) but the results are different depending on the sorting I add before the tool. I understand that the order would be different but I assume the number of matches should always be the same.

Am I doing something wrong or does the tool have some limitations I'm not aware of?

I have around 50k records and the Tool is finding 8k (no sorting), 22k (ascending) or 10k (descending) matches.

I'm encountering an issue related to a topic that has been discussed in several posts here. However, none of them have fully addressed my specific question.

My use case is quite straightforward:

• There's a workflow that generates an Excel file
• I'd prefer not to output the file directly to the server (to avoid overloading the MongoDB)
• Instead, I'd like to display a message to the user with a link to the file, which would be saved on a private NAS

Note: I'm aware of the email option, but I cannot use it (due to company policy).

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to achieve this?

This allocation depends upon zone and manpower count.

I have attached sample data and QC logic.

In all there all 74 man power under 10 QC executive Spoc. Hence 1015 / 74 means around 14 cases per head.

Let's take example of Sampath Kannuri . He has man power 7 so cases to be allocated to him will be max 96. But these cases should not be from his own zone that is AP # TELANGANA # TN. He should get data from other than AP # TELANGANA # TN zone and so on.

These is our daily activity and it's not feasible to get it done manually as count varies.

Appreciate your help in advance.

When will these classes begin and when will the full catalog be available? The websites says Spring 2026.

I am a student and as part of my class I have to take the Alteryx certification exam. My problem is that I am having trouble logging into the Alteryx website to take the exam. When I try to sign in, Alteryx says check your email for a code. No code is sent. I cannot recover my account because it says no email is found. however when I tried to create an account using my email it says the email is already in use. 

Does anyone have any idea of what I can do?

I need someone to help to calculate average contribution return on the account-security id-date level. In my dataset i have multple accounts, their respective multiple securities, and multple dates. my requirement is if first row has data like acct 123, security id 10001, date 03-03-2026, daily contribution is 0.40 so tool should calculate average contribution return for the date i.e 03-03-2026 for the combination of account+security id. if second row has different date then it should calculate average value based on that date for last 30 days ans so on.

I'm in IT and I have a user having issues with Alteryx. I've copied/pasted what he wrote on the ticket.

I am trying to see if there is a contact or if someone is able to guide me on how I can resolve an Alteryx error. Typically, I just drop a new file every quarter into the input folder and should be able to run alteryx with no issues. It seems that it is still trying to view last quarters documents even though it is not in the inputs folder.

Basically instead of running the new file it attempts to run the older file and errors out as it keeps trying to run the old file and not the new one.

Example -

Old file named Report25 is replaced by Report26 but when user attempts to run Alteryx it keeps trying to run the old file Report25 and not Report26.

I have no documentation on Alteryx and no one here has any knowledge of this application. Since I'm in IT it falls to me to try and resolve this issue. I'd appreciate any help.

I have attached an example set of data that is the input and how I would like the output to be. The problem I have is that the names and products are merged, the names are column headers so trying to figure out how to move them into their own field and want it all to be dynamic as there could be more names and products added in the future. Any help or suggestions appreciated.

I am using Dynamic Input tool to pull data from multiple tabs in one file. For some reasons, data from one tab wasn't pulled in my workflow. Is there anybody came across the same issue? How to fix it?

Hi all. I am using the SVM tool, but when I view the report, the plots are not showing up, only a wall of text. I am using the C-classification method and I have tried the tool with the different model parameters (linear, polynomial, and radial) but it does not change anything and the plot still does not show up. No error messages on any of the runs. I have attached a screenshot of what it's putting out for the plots.

I have the newest version of Alteryx Designer and Predictive Tools installed. If there is a fix for this or an alternate way to view the plots that would be great. Thank you!

I keep receiving no sheet selected error on my dynamic input tool. I have definitely chosen a sheet though. Has anyone else encountered this problem? 

I am trying to figure out a way to output to multiple Excel sheets without using the Render tool as that causes the workflow to take ~25 min to run and output the file which has a size of over 74,000KB and is unusable.  Since the four sheets don't have a standard schema I can't simply divide them up by a tab name column as I would normally do and if I try to union them then there are a lot of unneeded columns in every sheet.  As of right now, the inital designer has it set up so that the workflow has to be run four times to get all of the sheets in the file and I want to see if there is a way to get that down to just one.  I was thinking maybe there was a way to use the Arrange tool to manually set the columns up the way I need them for each sheet, but I've never fully understood how to use that tool.  Below, is an image of the workflow as it stands now and a list of the challenges I am facing.

• Cannot use render as it takes too long and the file is too large
• Sheets do not have common schema and unneeded columns are added to sheets when trying to union
• Cannot use a block until done tool as the sheets don't have a common input

I have passed 3 of the 4 micro exams and just need to finish the Data Transformation micro exam, however I am not able to find it anywhere on the site. I see my previous 3 certifications and I asked the online assistant who stated that it should be available. But even following the directions it gave, all I see is the full exam. Id really prefer not to have to take the full thing since I already have 3 of the 4 micro credentials completed. Can anyone point me to where I can take the final one?

I am attempting to redownload the designer on a new laptop after renewing my licence, and no longer have access to my old laptop.

I am trying to figure out a way to dynamically select a sheet that changes name each time the file is provided.  I have a file that is provided on a more or less weekly basis which has a sheet name that includes a partial date in the format of: Raw Data Till 19 Jan.  The portion after "Raw Data Till" changes based on the day that the file is provided, and since I don't want to have to manually select a new file and sheet each time a new file is provided, I am looking for a way to dynamically grab that sheet.  Right now I have the inputs coming in from a directory, but I am not opposed to using a wildcard to get the right file and sheet if that is needed.

Above is just an example, but all my cells will follow a similar format. What i need done:

I want all of the qual values at the top to be replaced by their full values throughout the cell. So if in the cell, there is a reference to GY1, I want it to read 'Gym' = 'Planet Fitness'

So in the above, my desired output would look like:

Please note the three quals above are examples and my quals will be different, however they will follow the same format and be at the top of the cell. they represent a key that is referenced throughout my cells. I want basically a find and replace done with the qual values throughout the cell. 

I download a report from an online platform we have, which exports as six Excel files (since the data is too large to fit on a single Excel spreadsheet). I save these exports to a network folder. For each file, I delete the first 26 rows manually and then upload them to a SharePoint folder online. I have a Power BI report connected to this SharePoint folder as a data source. Is there a way I could automate this process? Ideally, I'd want to automate when these files are saved to this network folder, the flow would automatically remove the first 26 rows from each file then save each of them and upload them to this specific SharePoint folder automatically each day. I download and save the Excel files each morning. Is this possible?

I have a google sheets workbook that has 2 tabs: Data and Pivot Table. The Pivot Table tab uses the data from the Data tab. Currently Alteryx is using the Google Drive tool to overwrite the Data tab daily.

Now I have to duplicate the google workbook, append the date to the workbook file name, and write to the Data sheet. I was able to build a macro that creates a new file with the date in the wookbook name and write to the Data tab, but I can' figure out how to make a copy of the original wookbook so that the Pivot Table tab is there to use the Data Sheet.

I searched for and read through several pages of questions regarding sharepoint access, but haven't found any sufficient information, and where there were links to SharePoint input tool information, those links were broken.

So here's my question - we are migrating company files from shared drives to SharePoint Online. This means that for some of our workflows we will need to access them directly from SharePoint online, or download them to share drives. -- Where can I find documentation on accessing excel, txt, and db files located on various SharePoint online internal company sites (one for each department)?

Is this even possible in the current version we have (x64 v2021.1.1.136 P4)

Any help appreciated!
