Send Email to distribution lists

Hi, I want to send email to a distribution list containing 5000 recipients, however I am unsure how long will it take to send such email and if the send tool has limitations over it. Is there any way I could test the time lag and error issues sending bunk mails before I hit the run?

@Axsta1 - Imagine you will send one email manually in Outlook. Is there a way to check how much time it will take and if there will be any issues before you will hit the run button?

There are a few steps you can do though:

1) Speak with your IT to see, if there are any limitations or throttles.

2) Check your email addresses to make sure they are in the correct format.

3) Run a small sample and then calculate how much time it may take to send to all recipients.
