How to organize the questions and input while running the Analytics App ?

Hello,

I have 5 different inputs, but all coming from the same excel workbook.

and all the outputs would also go in the same excel workbook but different tabs.

When I used the File Browse and Action method to input my files. I see so many drop downs.

Below is my question

1: Can i somehow put a reference to just the workbook and then based on the tab name,alteryx would automatically load the data on that tab for the respective input data?

I would like to reduce the manual effort of selecting the same workbook 5 times for my client.

@madhurinani in the box at the bottom, you'll want to delete the 3 pipes ('|||') and everything to the right of them. We want to change the file, but not the sheet name.

Can you give us a screenshot of your workflow or if possible attach the workflow?

@Robin_McIntosh : I wont be able to attach the workflow as it has client data.
But here is the screenshot of it.
It is messy as I am learning Alteryx and its not formatted as per standards.

Hey @madhurinani

you can connect the same file browse tool to multiple input data tools, then if you update the value of the file, but replace just the filename, each tool will input the same sheet, so you only need 1 file browse tool:

@madhurinani you could set up the output data tool in a similar way, so you'd only need 1 file browse per file

I see superstore is the input used. But Does superstore has multiple tabs/sheets in that workbook which would be sued by different input files?

Also, can you upload the excel file and workflow separately as I use an older version and i cant open the package.

Hi @madhurinani

I think this is because you have 4 output data tools, each writing to a different sheet.
In the interface designer (ctrl+alt+d) you can specify which output data tool is offered as an output to the user when they run the app.
