How to connect alteryx workflow to Tableau

Hi,

I just had a quick question on above, I have built an alteryx workflow to transform the data and now i want to bring it into tableau for visualization. Currently, I am simply using the Output Data option to output to TDE file and connecting it that way. However, I want it in the following:

- Alteryx automatically updates each month

- Or, I can refresh datasource on tableau twb and get the updated data 

I dont have the dashboard in tableau server and its just a local file on my desktop, is there a way to achieve this?

You can overwrite existing extract file every month you run the workflow either by scheduling it on Alteryx Server or running it on your machine.

From Tableau desktop, since you do not have a Tableau server you will just need to click the refresh extract button on the data source page whenever you the extract has been over written. Hope this helps.
