Fuzzy Match Tool Outputs Generates Different Results for the Same String

I am trying to clean words in  the field TITLE using a Fuzzy Match tool.  

The Fuzzy Match tool is set to Purge.  See settings below.

The actual data set has 1,500 records.

Below is a sample of the output. 

Notice how

• ELECT generates 2 different outputs ELECTR and ELECTRIC
• ELECTR generates ELECTRIC
• INFO generates INFO and INFO.
• Etc.

Ratcheting the Match Threshold from up or down seems to have very little impact.

Any suggestions?
