I know I have seen an Alteryx Design Principles Checklist somewhere and wanted to revisit it. Unfortunately I forgot to bookmark it and now can't find it again.

Unfortunately not, I had made notes for a project I was working on however I never found the source document again.
We have an Alteryx workflow governance checklist in this article: Alteryx Workflow Governance: What Are Your Best Practices?
There is also this discussion thread, which is probably not what you're looking for, but it could be helpful: Do you have an organizational or personal way of documenting workflows?
