How to dynamically populate dropdown list from an external file

Hello all,

Have looked at a few examples of dynamic interfaces and am not achieving a dynamic dropdown list from an external Excel file input.

The workflow sample I have attached when run pulls only the field name in the dropdown and not the list. Do I not have the Action tool configured correctly?

I can't see the Excel file but I prepared an example :

In this cas we have to cross tab the data in a format that have the value we need to dispaly in the column

In my case I want to dispaly the the first name in the dropdown list.
