Output the results to the user interface

I'm not sure if this is even possible but i was wondering if Alteryx can output the results of a workflow to the user interface?

For example:

The workflow identifies and counts how many files there are in a location the user chooses. Instead of an excel output being generated, the message "there are X files in that location" is displayed in the user interface (as a results message perhaps)

You can do this indeed!

Within Designer, within the interface Designer (View- Interface designer, or Ctrl + Alt + D)
You can select what to show the user on success. This includes browse tools:

I've attached a very basic example.

Do bare in mind ,you cannot show the results of browse tools on server.
