Return on Investment Function

Question

Hello, I have been working to calculate the return on a $1,000 investment in a certain stock. I have pulled data from yahoo finance of stock prices every week for Apple for the past 5 years. The question I am trying to get an output/answer for is what the return would be if I invested $1,000 with a start date and end date.

Hi @wnewsom4 ,

Here's a quick example I put together on how you can do that

Basic assumption : stocks were purchased just before the market closed on the start date (i.e. price per share = close price) and sold just before market closed on the End date
