Create alerts using Rules on sales Data

Hello Everyone.

While working on assignment I am not able to create alerts on  Actual sales data.

Please help me with some Ideas of 

1. how we can Create alerts using sales data ?

2. which statistical terms can be useful to create alerts and how can we use that?(eg. Variance, Standard deviation)

please help me with this . Help will greatly appreciated.

Hey @ash25sumbre  can you attach samples of what you've tried already?  It's helpful to know what doesn't work so that we can direct you to something different (don't want to just repeat something you've already tried).
