Finding same number values in a single column and counting the matches

I am trying to find matches in a single column which is the Amount column and count those matches to appear in the match column.

I'm not sure what's the best tool to use. Thanks for the help.

Item Amount Match Number

Apple 100.00 1

Orange 200.00 2

Mango 300.00 3

Hi @Jean-Balteryx my desired output is the Match number column.

I wanted to count the possible matches in the amount column. Thank you.

And how do you define a match ?

If they have the same exact amount in the Amount column. I'm trying to use the multi-row formula to compare every rows.

Its bit confusing. Seems like @Jean-Balteryx has got it. If it is not right can you tell me why is Apple row match number is 1
