Creating Indexes over tables / speeding up processing

Question

I am new to Alteryx and am dealing with very large files and it is taking a considerable amount of time to process some of the Alteryx programs I have created.

Is there anyway to create indexes over the tables being processed to speed up the processing or are there any other options.

They do not change.

They are in production.

They are table dumps from Lawson HR system.

I am able to access via Alteryx and MS SQL.

Alteryx is very slow due to the enormous sizes of the tables.

We need more details about the files.  What type are they?  Do they change often?  Is this during the design phase or is it in production?
