Calgary DNB Database

Hi, 

I'm looking for total businesses in the US in the 7991 SIC code. 

The DNB Calgary database on Alteryx gives me a total of 132k companies but some other websites have significantly lower numbers- 40k here and 90k here. We have also purchased a market report which has significantly lower number (40k). 

Can you please help me understand why these numbers are so different for the same SIC code?

i don't believe that there is a truth in b2b data. You need to curate and be an artist with it. Locations versus entities vary and so much self reporting and aggregation clouds the use of data. 

Have you tried to remove  duplicate records by address?
