Usually, we get requests for Alteryx environment and depending on the sensitivity of the data (which is determined by our risk analysts) – we move them into either an Enterprise cluster (for sensitive data) or we provide them a new dedicated server (for highly sensitive data).
Now, we have some users ( who are existing on Enterprise cluster and have been publishing workflows there) whose workflows are being delayed and we are planning to provide them with a completely new dedicated server.
We can replicate the environment. However, we have a few questions on the same:
- What about the workflows and users details that are existing on the Enterprise cluster that will be required on the new dedicated server?
- The mongo DB for Enterprise ( multiple – 30 + business areas) is bound to be huge. Do we need to backup and place this entire DB to the new environment? I may be wrong here in the approach that I may be taking. Please correct me if I am wrong.
- What other complications do you suppose we may encounter for this task?
