Table/Render exporting data in different format within the same field

Question

Hi, Alteryx users,

My table output is returning a different format within the same field. The "$" symbol is not consistent and those highlighted look like Alteryx is considering them as a text/string. The original datatype for this field is Double. So I am trying to understand what may be causing this issue...any kind of info will be so much appreciated

weird - was anything a string prior?

Honestly - I've been trying to alteryx to render  negative $ like that - so anything to solve how to replicate this with negatives would be awesome.

There are other negative numbers as well (as seen in the non-highlighted part of the pic) and they are looking just fine though.

You have "$" set up in table as your prefix. There is a negative number. That is how alteryx table/render produces a negative dollar sign.

I assume you want a different negative number format. I'd recommend setting up a display/dummy string variation for your table and using that.
