Alteryx workflow is throwing an error while while saving in Alteryx gallery from network

Question

Hi All,

I have tried both the process which are listed on Alteryx community, but still getting an error

1) Checking Excel file permission and its not locked

2) Checked with IT team regarding the file status, this file is not opened in any other system

Hi @prasadsra9

The Gallery runs with a specific account on the Alteryx server. By default this will be Local System.  In most cases this will be fine, until the workflows on the server need to access files on shared drives.  Local system does not have any permissions outside of the machine that the server is installed on, so any reference to a shared drive gets the Access Denied error message.  To get around this, you have configure the server to run with a specific network account. that has the permission to access the specific shared drive.   See the "Run the worker as a different user"  in the worker configuration help doc.

Hi @prasadsra9,

Maybe you can try if this will work for a different file?

That way you could discover if this is related to the specific file or problem is somewhere else.
