Need to know the usage of tools based on Alteryx performance

Hi All,

I am very new to alteryx, and I am creating on workflow which uses a very big flat file to extract the data and do some calculations/transformations before loading into a YXDB/QVX data files.

I need to know what order should I follow for the below tools to improve the performance of my workflow.

1. Formula tool

2. Filter tool and

3. Summarize tool

What should be the order of the above tools to improve the performance of the workflow?

Hi @Aparanjith ,

Your filter should come first to remove any unnecessary rows. Then the order of the formula/summarize tools widely depends on the output but I would first summarize then use the formula tool, so the formula is applied to a smaller number of rows.
