How can we limit the output records number?

Another simple question but i just don't know how to make it.

With output data tool, is there any way to limit the records number? (for exemple 1000 records maximum)

Because i just found that the "Max records per file" consist of separating the records into several files........... it's not i need

I would just put in a Sample-tool that can be found under the preperation-pane.
