Change string date format to excel date format

Question

Hi All,

I changed the format of dates to a string to get this type of date format, how ever I'm having issues with the sorting since the output will be on string. I want it to change to the "excel type of date format"

14-Mar-12 format in excel.

I want it to be like this:

Sorry i am a little confused at the desired input and output, please can you make a workflow with an example of the desired input and output, and i'll be happy to provide a workflow that creates this

In order for Alteryx to work with your dates you need to convert to Alteryx' date time format which then you can do anything you want really with dates.
