Table Tool Column Configuration not active

Hi,

I am trying to configure the column rules but the table tool settings for columns are greyed out and I cant edit. What can I do to fix the issues? 

I tried downloading workflows from the community with the table tool configured for columns but even then the tool is greyed out even though the output appears configured. Thank you.
