Using test tool to check if multiple inputs have the same reference date

Hi all,

I work with multiple Excel inputs which have, each of them, a column with a reference date.

I would like to test if all of these files have the same reference date. It would prevent the user from running the workflow with incorrect inputs. Can the test tool do it somehow?

Is it also possible for the user to set manually the date which he wants to test? For example, if the user wants to test if all reference dates are equal to 12-31-2019, how could he do that? Can the date tool do it somehow?

Here's a sample workflow that will hopefully do what you're looking to do.

If you run it first, the test tool shouldn't give an error, then if you change some of the dates in the Input Data tool to something other than 31st Dec 2019, you should get an error message.

If you want, in the Workflow configuration, under the Runtime tab, you can tick the box to 'Cancel Running Workflow on Error', which will stop the rest of the workflow running.
