Image Mining on Alteryx?

Hi there, 

I'm a mechanical and industrial engineer (OR) The product line analysis for production defect inspections

• either by analysing still images
• or moving images

is one hot machine learning topic clients are interested in.

• I'd like to ask if anyone tried to solve such a image mining problem using Alteryx? 

I figured recently that R has a few newly developing image analysis packages called ripa and imager...

Also found out that Rapidminer has such an extension... No wonder they are higher up in the magic quadrant...

I imagine you could certainly use Alteryx to manage this but you'd need to:

1. Use the R package you mentioned to initialise and build the model directly in R

2. Build it into a macro in Alteryx

3. Use Alteryx to provide lists or images to compare to a known seed image.

I short while there's nothing out the box the tools are there to let you develop what you need and use Macros to deploy to other Alteryx users within the business. The only downside here is the need to add some R code.
