Group by and take the top 10?

Im starting with UPC sales data.

The sales data has a column that can be grouped into parts of the store. Checkout, Candy Isle, Meat Snacks, Chips.

Without having to do multiple summarize tools, sort, take top N.

Is there 1 tool that allows you to group by a column and then take the top N of each of those groups?

Hi,

If your data is sorted, the Sample tool will do exactly this - you can set it to group by as many fields as you'd like!

Hello @jeh ,

You could sort by a certain column and after use the sample tool. This will give you the top you are looking for. You could also transpose the data to make it easier (depending on how you have everything organized)

If you share a small sample of daya I might be able to build something.
