Scheduled Workflows stuck in Queue

Question

We have two scheduled workflows running concurrently. When I triggered them at the same time manually (4 of them), they all complete within 1 hour. Now the workflows have been running for over 2 hours, and in the queue, they will show complete to 83% and then go back down to 0% again.

This is the first time we are going to utlize scheduled workflows in production and we have downstream SSIS jobs to pick up the output from Alteryx workflows, so we need this to work consistently and reliablely.

I'm waiting to show my issue to Alteryx support, but meanwhile, I would like to see if someone can help me out in our community.

There are a lot of variables in play here.

I would suggest turning on performance profiling and then run both manually and scheduled.

With a comparison of output logs from each you’d have a much easier time narrowing down what is causing the issue.
