Logic behind fuzzy matching tool

I am doing some analysis on the matching logic currently in place in our system. I have been able to make some improvements using the fuzzy matching tool. Is there some way to translate the logic used by Alteryx's fuzzy matching tool into logic I can provide my IT team? Thanks, Sarah

Most of what is happening in the tool is proprietary so we can't give you that. However, if you check out the Help for the tool, you will see that we are using specific algorithms to create keys and determine matching. FuzzyEditMatchOptions
